How to Submit APIS in Horizon
Submitting APIS (Advanced Passenger Information System) in Horizon is a streamlined process once your trip and passenger details are complete.
Prerequisites
Before submitting APIS, ensure:

The trip has been created

All crew and passengers have been added to the trip

Profiles are fully completed, including passport information
Step 1: Navigate to Services

Open the Flight Card
-
Expand the Services section
-
Select + Departure or + Arrival (based on your filing need)

Choose APIS from the service list

The APIS Account will default to Private or Commercial based on the Regulation selected in the Mission

Confirm the correct account is selected
-
If needed, you can replace the airports in the submission
-
Click Next
Step 3: Review Aircraft Details
Owner details Option:
-
Review all crew and passenger records carefully
-
Any missing or invalid information will be highlighted in red
-
Expand flagged records to view and resolve specific issues
Step 5: Submit APIS

Once all required fields are complete, click Submit
What Happens Next?
Initial Submission
-
Status will update to Requested
-
A Confirmation Number will be generated
-
CBP processing typically takes ~5 minutes

Final Confirmation
Once confirmed by CBP:
-
Status updates to Complete (shown in green)
-
The full APIS report becomes available
Additional Actions
After confirmation, you can:

Download the report using the PDF icon

Email the report using the envelope icon
