This section outlines the tools and functionality available for managing your aircraft fleet in Horizon.
There are a few ways to access Aircraft Profiles. From the Schedule or Calendar view, click on an aircraft name to open its profile in a new browser tab. This allows you to keep the schedule accessible while working on aircraft-specific information. You can also use the Aircraft main menu selection.
Each aircraft profile contains several key areas:
Define which trip types the aircraft is authorized to operate (e.g., Cargo, Medevac, Charter, Positioning, Fractional, Demo, Maintenance).
Configure mission types by regulation, required crew, and more.
When planning a trip, mission filters ensure only appropriate aircraft appear in the selection list.
Log and track events such as Maintenance, Reserved, and Note categories.
Record begin/end dates, location, personnel, and a description.
Maintenance events must be marked "Completed" to make the aircraft available again.
Events appear visually on the schedule and integrate with flight planning.
Override Functionality allows for conditional scheduling during maintenance based on user permissions.
Consolidated view of required maintenance, including manual and integrated system entries.
Integrates with Traxxall and CAMP (FlightDocs/Veryon coming soon).
Tracks details such as ATA code, alert type, due dates, grace periods, and more.
MEL/CDL/NEF entries adjust fields dynamically (category, deferral date, flight restrictions).
Displayed on the schedule and alerts planners during trip creation.
Tracks all historical flights with timestamps, routes, hours, and cycles.
Detects inconsistencies between flights.
Airframe, engine, and component data are maintained here.
Useful for compliance, historical reference, and analytics.
Set system-wide or per-aircraft thresholds for upcoming maintenance.
Buffers show visual indicators (color-coded) on the schedule.
Authorized users can override based on defined rules.
Quick view of aircraft status: hours, cycles, due metrics.
Drives reports and planning alerts.
Set up the aircraft’s maintenance tracking system.
Enable syncing of flight log data from FMS.
From the aircraft schedule view:
Click New Maintenance Item.
Select type: MEL or CDL.
UI fields will adjust based on selection.
Enter required fields including deferral date, category, restrictions.
Once resolved, enter the Clear Date.
MELs and CDLs are color-coded and displayed on the schedule.
If your engine/APU program provider offers API access:
Horizon can send engine hours/cycles automatically.
Setup requires entering provider credentials and connection details.
If API integration is not available:
Use Power BI reports to export data.
Reports can be scheduled to email providers in preferred formats (CSV, Excel, PDF).
