This article explains how to organize, group, and customize data columns in Horizon list views such as Expenses, Services, Trips, or Flights. The column grouping feature allows users to better analyze and sort records based on key data fields like Date, Type, Vendor, Status or Mission.
Most Portside Horizon data tables — including those under Services, Trips, and Expenses — use a dynamic grid layout that supports column customization.
You can drag and drop column headers to group, sort, or rearrange information for easier viewing.
This feature helps streamline workflow visibility, especially when managing multiple records or vendors.
The default table layout includes the following headers:
| Date | The date associated with the record or service entry (e.g., service request date, trip date). |
| Type | Indicates the service or record type, such as “FBO - Dep KSNA” or “Fuel Request.” |
| Due Date | The date and time by which the service or task must be completed. |
| Leg | Displays the related flight leg (clickable link to the trip leg record). |
| Vendor | The company or service provider assigned to fulfill the request. |
| Name | The service name or title of the entry. |
| Description | Notes or specific details related to the service or trip. |
| Assigned To | The user or team member responsible for managing the request or task. |
Locate the header bar above your data list (e.g., Date, Type, Vendor).
Click and drag the column header (e.g., Vendor) to the area labeled:
“Drag a column header and drop it here to group by that column.”
Release the header — the table will automatically regroup all records by that field.
Example:
Dragging Vendor to the grouping area organizes all entries under each vendor’s name.
Dragging Date groups records chronologically.
To remove grouping:
Drag the header back to the table area or click the “X” beside the grouped header (if visible).
Reorder Columns: Click and drag any header left or right to reposition it.
Resize Columns: Hover over the border between headers and drag to adjust width.
Use Vendor grouping when reviewing multiple FBO or service providers for a trip period.
Use Date grouping to ensure timely completion of due services.
Customize column order to prioritize operationally relevant data (e.g., Date → Leg → Vendor).
Save your preferred column layout (if your permissions allow) for future sessions.
