New Tags, Notes and Filters

Tags can now be applied to more record types in the system including Aircraft Models, Aircraft Events, Countries and States. On the aircraft models search page, filters are now available for aircraft size, group and tags. In addition, the ability to capture notes has been added to Aircraft Events and Crew Activities. Finally, permissions were added to user roles to limit access to Crew Activity notes, Aircraft Notes and Crew Activity Documents.

Logo Upload

One or multiple logos can be uploaded to the System Configuration > System page with one being set as Default. Reports will be updated to pull logos in from this location vs being hard coded moving forward.

Integrations

FlightBridge

The integration with FlightBridge is now available for customers that use the service. An integration setup area is under the System Configuration > Integration page to enter the Operator Code details. Once setup, flights will automatically sync over to FlightBridge when created/updated, and services will be synced back to Horizon when they are ordered in FlightBridge.

Maintenance

Next Due Sort Update

The next Due Hours, Cycles and Date sort selections on the Maintenance section have been updated to sort based on the Due Column based on customer feedback

Operations/Scheduling

Auto Calculate Night Hours On Flight Log (Historical Correction)

In a previous release, the flight log was updated to auto-calculate the number of night hours for a flight based on OOOI times. In the current release, historical flights that had a night takeoff or landing, but no night hours have been corrected with the correct night hours.

Calendar Month View

Month view is now available on the new Calendar views, and each day of the month is a single day.

Copy Trip

Within the Flights, Legs and Quote Legs view, a copy to new trip option is now available to create an exact copy of the itinerary to a new trip.

Duty Period Display Without Crew

Even if there is no crew assigned to flights or legs, a proposed duty period will be displayed for better visibility of possible violations prior to a crew being assigned. The same applies to quote since crew cannot be directly assigned to a quote.

Schedule Filter For Airports

Additional filters are available on the Schedule and Calendar views to narrow down aircraft and crew based on airport locations (including flights, crew activities and maintenance events). On the Crew and Primary Aircraft views, these filters will not remove any aircraft/crew from the view, but will remove any events that don't have that airport. On the secondary aircraft filter, it will only show the aircraft that have activity at those airports in the period.

Trip, Quote and Invoice Approvals

An approvals section has been added to trips, quotes and invoices to support structured tracking of approvals from various teams. Custom approval types can be managed from a new section in the System Configuration called Approval. For quote approvals, if Owner Approval is set on the aircraft, it will automatically create an Owner Approval record for that tail. New components are available in the Trip section of the user roles to control access to each of these approval areas separately.

Note Time Range Selection

An additional condition type has been added to Ops notes for time ranges. This can be used to make sure that the note only is checked when the flight departs or arrives within this time range. This can be stacked on top of the existing conditions (ex. Date Range), so if an airport is closed from 0900 - 1300 from 7/13 - 7/14, it can be configured to handle that situation.

Trip/Flight View Settings On Schedule Trip View

On the Trip section of the Schedule, users can now display both Legs and Flights, and can control which of these they want to display on their view.

Organization Filter On Schedule For Aircraft and Crew

In order to better support segregation by certificate, a filter has been added to the schedule/calendar to limit crew and aircraft by Organization.

MEL Alert Display of Flight Restrictions

For maintenance items that have Flight Restrictions, the alerts will now call out that a flight restriction exists on the item, and if the user expands the alert, it will show what the restriction is.

Flight Search Updates

Multiple usability updates have been made to the Flight search page. When a user adjusts the items below, it will save it for them to maintain their preferred view moving forward.
  1. Grouping - Users can customize which columns they want to group the flight list on (including multiple levels of grouping). The default is by Departure date, but this can be removed/adjusted. Users can apply grouping by dragging the column to the area above the table or by using the three dots on the column itself
  2. Column Selection - Users can customize which columns they want to display on the page
  3. Column Ordering - Users can customize the ordering of the columns on their view
  4. Additional Columns - The following columns have been added to the flight search page
    1. Operator - This displays the organization that the aircraft on the flight is associated to
    2. Crew - This displays the first letter of the crews first name and first letter of the last name in circles. If the briefing has not been sent to a crew member, it will show a gray background. If a briefing has been sent, but not acknowledged, it will show red, and if it is has been acknowledged, it will be green.
    3. Flight Tracking - This displays the progress of the flight based on the scheduled departure/arrival times. In a future release, this will update based on flight tracking data.

In preparation for upcoming flight planning integrations, new fields have been added under the integrations area of the flight to document key flight planning details.
  1. Route
  2. Altitude
  3. Fuel Type

  5. Fuel Policy Value (only if Manual is selected for Fuel Policy)

Quote Filters and Status

When quotes are created, they now start out in the Generated status. Filters have been added to the quote section to narrow down the quotes that are valid more effectively to mark them as quoted, and delete the ones that are not valid.

Quote Search Page

A new search page has been added just for quotes to make finding records easier and more streamlined. Each quote row has an expandable section to allow the user to view/modify details without leaving the page.
