General
Date and Time Display Improvements
Horizon makes date and time information easier to understand across the web application, especially when teams work across airports, UTC, and homebase time.
- Hover over supported date/time fields to see Local, UTC, and Homebase time.
- Schedule card templates can now include more operational details, including Flight #, Leg Purpose, and selected Trip Persons.
Default Passenger Purpose
Horizon can now apply a passenger’s default Business or Personal purpose automatically when that passenger is added to a trip.
- Set the passenger’s default purpose on the passenger profile.
- Horizon applies that value when the passenger is added to a trip.
- Users can still update the trip passenger purpose manually when needed.
Mobile and Web Only Access
Horizon now enforces web access settings at login, giving administrators better control over whether a user can access Horizon Web, Crew Mobile, or both.
- Users without web access are prevented from logging into Horizon Web.
- A clear “No Web Access Has Been Granted” message is shown when web access is not enabled.
- This works with the existing user profile access settings.
Preferred Name Display
Administrators can now choose how preferred names appear throughout Horizon.
- Show preferred name instead of first name.
- Show preferred name in addition to first name.
- Hide preferred name and always show first name.
Find it under System > Defaults.
Operations/Scheduling
Absolute Minimum Runway Length
On aircraft models, a new field has been added called Absolute Minimum Runway. The current Minimum Runway field flags in the trip alerts if the runway is less than the entered value but the alert severity is a Violation. The new field will flag as a stop item if the runway is shorter.
Crew Away From Base Display
Horizon now helps schedulers see when crew members are away from homebase, even on days without scheduled activity.
- Crew Calendar now shows away-from-base indicators for crew.
- Horizon considers flights and crew activities when determining crew location.
- Crew activities with airport details help determine where the crew member is positioned.
- Activities without airport details are ignored so Horizon does not infer unsupported locations.
Find it on the Crew Calendar.
Flight Search Slideout Improvements
The flight detail slideout now brings more trip-style tools directly into the flight search workflow.
- Add expenses from the flight detail slideout.
- View alerts and messages in the sidebar.
- Access report print actions from the flight detail view.
Find it on the Flights search page.
Additional Flight Schedule Template Options
Additional data has been added to scheduling templates for flights
- Flight #
- Leg Purpose
- Trip Persons - For the trip persons to show on the card, administrators will need to go to System > Trip and set the Show On column in Person Type to Schedule for the ones they want to show
Fleet Maintenance Status Page
Aircraft search now gives maintenance teams a more complete fleet status view from one place.
- View aircraft maintenance status directly from the aircraft search page.
- See maintenance summary values such as aircraft hours, cycles, engine values, APU values, and remaining maintenance values.
- Expand aircraft rows to review active maintenance events and open maintenance items.
- Expand or collapse all rows for faster fleet review.
Find it on the Aircraft search page.
Logged vs Verified Total Display
In the aircraft search page and the Maintenance Summary section of the aircraft profile, users can now see both the logged totals and verified totals in one location.
- Flight Logs need to have the log status set to Logged for it to count twoards the logged totals.
- Verified totals include flight logs in either the verified or amended status'
- If the logged and verified totals are the same, it will only show one total in the display.

Calendar Appearance Improvements
Horizon improves calendar readability so teams can more easily distinguish aircraft, crew, and trip rows.
- Resource row separators are more visible.
- Calendar cards align more consistently within their cells.
- The calendar is easier to scan when reviewing dense schedules.
- Color-code the Monthly calendar based on flight status or aircraft (if using aircraft, make sure to set the Scheduling Color in the aircraft profile)
- Create new records directly from the monthly calendar (ex. Trips, Aircraft Events, etc.)
Service Task Improvements
Service task templates can now use airport geo group logic, making conditional service setup more flexible. In addition, change control settings can be set on the main service task type.
- Add airport geo group conditions to service task templates.
- Apply service task rules based on airport location groupings.
- Use the same kind of geo-based logic already available for fee rate conditions.
- Change Tracker settings are now available under the System > Service Task (Service Task Type). If a service/task is auto-populated from a Service Task Template, it will use the change control settings on the specific template, but if not, it will fall back on the generic settings based on the service task type.
Find it under System > Service Tasks.
Default Fee Day Calculation Improvements
Trip day, trip calendar day, and flight day fees now calculate more accurately for trips with multiple legs.
- Fees are evaluated per leg.
- Horizon uses the highest applicable rate for the trip or day.
- This provides more accurate billing behavior for complex itineraries.
Default Mission Type
In the System configuration page, a default Mission Type can be selected. If the account (or contract) on a trip does not have a default mission type, it will automatically get set to what is selected here.
Trip-Level Department Selections
Select one or multiple departments on a trip level.
- Passenger level selections are still available and can be combined with the trip level (if a passenger has departments selected, it will override the trip level for that passenger on the relevant leg).
- Chargeback calculations by department honor the trip and passenger level.
Integrations
CAE Simuflight Integration
Horizon improves CAE-synced training activity handling so externally managed training records stay consistent.
- CAE reservation data can update or create crew training activities.
- CAE-linked activities protect integration-controlled fields from unintended edits.
- Training activity details such as reservation number, training vendor, activity type, dates, status, and assigned persons are mapped into Horizon.
CAMP Sync Improvements
CAMP integration handling is more reliable and easier to manage.
- Manual CAMP sync is available.
- Insert-before-update behavior was improved.
- SOAP response parsing was improved.
- Maintenance flight log sync tasks and related UI were added.
Public API
